"RKS" means Regional Cultural and Social Center" is an organisation (NPO) and one of the most important beacons of hope in our society. We believe that a single action makes all the difference. Imagine what acting together can then achieve. Through advocacy and educational work, our team tirelessly makes its contribution to the common good every day. We would also like to come to terms with socially disadvantaged society and present an interesting and wide range of offers for young and old.

At RKS "Regional Cultural and Social Center" we do our best to achieve the set goal:

We offer cultural and social offers, various events, entertainment with origin in St.Galler Reinthal. The cultural "meeting point" where unknown and prominent people from all over the world meet! A social and cosmopolitan place for young and old peoples.

Dear animal lovers!
Fino Animal Rescue is one of the largest animal shelters in the Aghios Nikolaos region in eastern Crete. We currently look after over 100 dogs and puppies. The shelter is remotely located on the Aghios Ioannis peninsula, near the village of Finokalia - in the triangle between Neapoli, Elounda and the beautiful harbour town of Aghios Nikolaos on the Gulf of Mirabello.
Thanks to the daily, loving contact with their carers, our dogs are very friendly, trusting and playful - especially the many puppies. The dogs live in groups that get on well together in spacious enclosures under shady olive trees. Each enclosure is securely fenced and additionally protected by an external security corridor so that no animal can escape. The large entrance gate also remains locked at all times.
Fino Animal Rescue is financed exclusively by donations.
We do not receive any state support - every vaccination, neutering, medication and meal is made possible by private donations. In addition, there are running costs for electricity, water, food, building materials, transport and much more - without your help, the survival of many animals is jeopardised.

Latest news about this project!
On 17 July 2023, the ‘RKS’ team was on site in Crete for a week to meet Thomas and his rescued dogs in person and to actively support him. It was an impressive and touching experience! Thomas puts his heart and soul into looking after over 80 dogs every day until they find a loving home. His dedication is remarkable - without him, many of these animals would hardly have a chance of survival.
He is grateful for any form of support - be it through:

👉 Adoptions abroad (e.g. to Germany, Austria or Switzerland) are no problem!
All dogs are chipped, vaccinated and neutered, provided with all the necessary certificates and a so-called ‘health book’.
